Dr Gizem Cihanoglu received her MSc and PhD degrees from İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH), Department of Chemical Engineering. She worked as a research assistant in Department of Chemical Engineering at IZTECH between 2013 and 2021. She worked with Prof. Dr. Özgenç Ebil’s group in M-ERA.NET project as a postdoctoral researcher between 2021 and 2024. Now she is also working as a postdoc in 2218 – National Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Programme in Asst. Prof. Dr. Başar Çağlar’s group. Her research interests are the synthesis of nanomaterials for zinc electrodes in NiZn batteries, fabrication a variety of homo- and copolymer films on a variety of substrates for battery and protective coating applications, development of gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) to increase energy and power densities of metal-air batteries.
