Prof. Dr. Akın Taşcıkaraoğlu received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University. Between 2012 and 2026, he held academic positions at Yıldız Technical University and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. He served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2014 to 2015 and at the University of California, San Diego, from 2024 to 2025.

Prof. Dr. Taşcıkaraoğlu’s research interests include renewable energy systems, power system operation, smart grids, and the grid integration of electric vehicles.
