Dr. Merve Kuman completed her undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering at Ege University and her master’s degree in Polymer Science and Technology at Hacettepe University. As a scholarship holder of the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye under the YLSY Programme, she received her Ph.D. in Nuclear Energy from the University of Sheffield. Following her doctoral studies, she worked for approximately two years as a postdoctoral researcher within the UK–Japan Civil Nuclear Research Programme.

Dr. Kuman’s research interests include nuclear energy, the classification and management of radioactive waste, materials development, and characterization.
